Clara Visits the Bean Museum

A few weeks ago, Clara visited the Bean Museum with Grandma Carter and some cousins.  She had a great time.

This past Sunday, we went to my parent's house for our annual Carter Christmas Party.  It's always a good time with family and close friends.

Of course, we re-created the nativity story and of course there were some "carter" additions.

 The shepherds are visited by an angel and the heavenly hosts.

 A new star appeared.

Joseph and Mary arrive in Bethlehem.

The inn keeper doesn't have any room.

Baby Jesus is born in a stable and is visited by the shepherds and the sheep.

The wise men see the star and travel a long distance.

They visit King Herod before finding Jesus.

Temple to Temple 5K #T2Trun

On July 24, a few of us decided to run/walk the Temple to Temple 5K in Provo, Utah.  Bright and early, we got up, got ready, and headed to the Provo Temple for the start of the run.

Did I get a picture of the finish line?  No, why would I do that????  I am a little bummed that there is no photo evidence of the finish line.  Oh well.

The Facebook page for the event says that between 10,000-12,000 people participated this year! Wowza, that is a ton.  I may have to participate in this run every year.

kim's bridal shower

my cousin kim is getting married in just a few short weeks.  last weekend we celebrated with her at my mom's house.

and apparently i forgot that i have a blog that i like to post pictures on and only took 2 pictures of the entire event...

thankfully my mother snapped this one of kim and i.

it was really great to see kim and get to know a little bit more about tyler (the guy to whom she's gonna get hitched).  i wish her all of the happiness in the world because she certainly deserves it!

over the weekend I went to a funeral and then to lunch with 2 of my cousins, kim and becky.
