Some 2017 Randomness

In October, Jared's phone broke.  Aunt Tiff had a phone he could use, so she mailed it to him.  She didn't want it to break so she placed it inside this hot pink Hello Kitty bag.  We told Jared he had to use it.

In early November, Isaac's football team won their Championship game.  We were very proud of Isaac and his team!

Coach Buck and Isaac

Sometimes, if you ask nicely, they'll hold your hand in public. September 30, 2017

We noticed on December 30, 2017 that Isaac was officially taller than me.

In September 2017, my dad, along with the help of my brothers, shot his once-in-a-lifetime elk.

In early September 2017, Jared started his first job at Arctic Circle as a cook!

In October 2017, Nathan started a new job. He looks so handsome all dressed up for interviews!

We were lucky enough to be invited to a pre-season tailgate party at BYU and were filmed for a promotional video.  Here are a couple of still shots from the video.

On June 26, 2017 this lovely serious of photos was taken:

On May 26, 2017, the kids and I went with Grandma Carter to put flowers on a few graves.  Here we are at the American Fork Cemetary putting flowers on my Grandma and Grandpa Brown's graves.

And finally, this charming young lady took 3.2 billion photos using Snapchat filters.

WoodBadge Training - WB-W2-591-17-6

I attended WoodBadge!  Why?  Well, mostly because Nathan was going as a troop guide and thought it would be nice to have me there with him.  Oh and because he thought the leadership training would be helpful as well.  Honestly, I went with an open-mind but I wasn't excited.  Ultimately, I was very glad I went!

The Beaver Troop raising the flag

I think we may have been getting ready to sing a funny song.

Our rocket was appropriately named, The Silver Beaver.  It was pretty much a failure, but we had the most attempts and getting it to go high in the sky!

Our troop lost a game and ended up with negative 3,000 points.  I call that great fun!! Although some members of our troop were ashamed.  Later when we played the "guilt game", we actually won and got lectured about not playing nicely.  Sara piped up and said, "No one got a lecture when we lost by 3,000 points!"

Our troop was in charge of the fireside on one of the last nights.  I conducted, because that's what I do....

Our troop working together playing games and figuring out puzzles.

On our "alone" night, we had to make our own dinner.  It was delicious steak and potatoes and vegetables.

Skyler had to leave us one night, so we sent him this picture to make sure he knew he was missing out.

Daddy Daughter Dance 2016

On February 26th, Nathan and Amelia attended the 1920's themed daddy daughter dance at her school.  They both had a great time, like they always do.  Nathan said he was a little disappointed that he didn't get to do the "Gummy Bear" Song

Three Things Thursday, 200K miles, Learning to Ride a Bike, Pull-ups

Numero Uno
My car has gone over 200,000 miles.  Sometime over the weekend of September 18-20, it rolled over and I missed it!

Numero Dos -
We are currently trying to teach Clara to ride a bicycle.  Shortly after this picture was taken we went to the store and purchased some training wheels to put on the bike.  After putting on the training wheels, she gave it another shot, but got a little too close to the curb and fell over, twice.  There were tears.  She may have been slightly traumatized.  We'll have to give it a couple of days and try again.

Numero Tres -
Jared and Isaac pulled out the pull up bar recently and have been trying to show each other up. Nathan decided to show both of them up and I caught the tail-end of the action.
