Annual Carter Christmas Party 2013 Edition

We gathered at my Mom and Dad's house for the Annual Carter Christmas Party.  

The kids dressed up to reenact the nativity story.

Jared was the star, Amelia was a wiseman, Isaac was a shepherd and Clara was the angel.

Clara was being a little stinker by the time we were done and trying to take pictures.

By the end of the evening, this is how I found her and Nathan.

Amelia's 8th Birthday!

A few weeks ago we celebrated Amelia's 8th birthday.

We started our day out at +Kneaders - Amelia loves their french toast and hot chocolate. (and so do I, so it was a win-win for everyone.)

 Clara lovin' on her Daddy while we were at Kneaders.

Then we were off to the mall to get Amelia's ears pierced for her birthday present.  A last picture of her without holes in her head.  She was super excited but also a little nervous.

Time for the first ear.

One ear down and one more to go.

She was a little more concerned for the second ear.

She learned how to clean them and take care of them.

The earrings made her look so grown up!

She also got to choose a set of earrings for when she can take out her studs.  These are the ones she chose.

 Later that evening, we invited family over for cake and ice cream.

 And she opened a few presents.

 

I love this sweet and kindhearted little girl!

That Man of Mine

The picture is little dark, but that is Nathan, unloading groceries from the cart and putting them into the truck. What you can't see in the picture:

1. That it is seriously 1 degree outside.
2. Me - sitting inside a warm truck,
3. Holding a hot chocolate that Nathan had purchased for me minutes before - I LOVE Hot Chocolate!
4. Nathan does not like to go grocery shopping.

How did I get so lucky?
