late last summer we went to lagoon with the kids.  amelia did a little bit of waiting the whole day since she was still a little too short to go on some of the rides.  once, while we were waiting for the older kids to finish a ride they were on, amelia asked her daddy to win her the blue shark.  i don't remember how much money nathan ended up spending to finally get the ball in the correct hole, but i do know that was not the point.  the look on her face was priceless! 

mother son night 2012

each year, the kids' elementary school sponsors a mother son night. this year they invited a man who takes care of and trains birds of prey.  he told us about 4 different birds, a harris hawk, awhite bird - i don't remember the name ans i didn't get a picture, a great horned owl and a golden eagle.  all very cool, expecially when he let the harris falcon fly around and it swooped at my head.

after the activities at the school, we went to arctic circle for some food and shakes!  we had a great time.

getting ready for some sun - old school style

just getting ready for this, by doing a little fake baking!  the picture didn't turn out so well, but that is a playboy bunny sticker sitting there.  when i saw it in the sticker basket at the front desk i couldn't help myself.  it felt like i was in high school all over again.

one tough kid

last week isaac came home looking like this. i asked him how it happened.
isaac - we were playing at recess, i fell and someone stepped on my face.
me - did it hurt?
isaac - mom, it just happens all the time. it looks cool huh?

my saturday looked like this...

got up early and went running with the pup.  for those of you who know me well, this is saying something.  "i don't run because.... "

came home and started some laundry...

took a quick shower

cleaned up dog poo in the backyard.  i spared you a close up shot!

ran to checker to get an air filter for nathan and helped him change the oil in our cars

cleaned the garage

tried out some Turtle Wax T-240KT Headlight Lens Restorer Kit on my headlights.  worked awesome!  i tried to show half and half for comparison

more laundry...

nathan ordered dinner

 then it was showers for the kids and bedtime.  all in all a pretty productive day!

a couple of nathan's friends have been inviting him to go snowmobiling with them.
he's addicted!

i also resurrected by dinner blog.  i will post randomly on this blog whenever i make something i deem blog worthy.  i know all 3 of you that read my blog are so excited by my renewed interest!

restaurant entertainment

nathan and i discovered early on that amusement can be found at any restaurant while waiting for your food.  all you need is a small child and a lemon wedge.

this video is from last october so the lady looks so small and has basically no hair compared to what she looks like now.  Sorry can't figure out how to flip the video to be the right way :(

30 days....

dear serenade of the seas-

in exactly 30 days we will meet.  to say that i am excited would be an understatement.  i plan to swim in your pools, lounge on your decks and eat until i can no longer walk.
