cul-de-sac of fire & the fourth of july

on of our neighbors hosts a cul-de-sac of fire every year to celebrate the 4th of july and this year was no exception.  there's always games, food and fun.  plus, there's always a little chaos.

i didn't remember to take any pictures until the very end, but i managed to pick up some fabulous shots of the kids....  if your definition of fabulous includes blury, eyes closed and things coming out of the top of people's heads.

the next day, which was actually the 4th, we spent a lazy morning and afternoon at home.  around dinner time we drove up provo canyon to heber to get some of our most favorite food at dairy keen.

nathan and i love their train burgers (pictured below) and they have the best burnt almond fudge shakes!

after picking up the food, we drove over to wasatch mountain state park to eat and then we took the long way home - through charleston and up over the mountain and back down american fork canyon.

got back to the valley in time to head over to cabela's parking lot to watch the thanksgiving point fireworks.

I've rambled long enough, why don't you ramble and tell me what's on your mind.
