to finish off our long holiday weekend, we decided to have an extended family outing up american fork canyon. our efforts were soon thwarted by an intense rain storm that brought the side of the mountain down, blocking our path.
so, plan b - and off we went to provo canyon to meet up with the rest of the family at nunn's park.

just before heading home for the evening, shane broke out the ingredients for banana boats. we've never made these before and the kids really enjoyed making and eating them.
